Cyclo Park at Clennon Valley

Kay Elliott working with b:d landscape designers have won planning permission for a 1,500m closed cycling circuit and landscaping at Clennon Valley, Paignton following approval by the Development Management Committee. The £800k project is being jointly funded by Torbay Council and British Cycling, has overwhelming public support and is the only such facility in Devon. The location will see the loss of a poor quality sports pitch but will help to diversify the sporting offer currently available.

Iain Masters, of Torbay Development Agency, said "Clennon Valley accommodates the biggest concentration of sporting facilities and we want to see sporting excellence in Clennon Valley." There are plans to add to the sporting offer further with an outdoor velodrome in the next phase of the works once technical site investigations have been completed.
