The 5* Hotel Verta, located in Battersea in London provides luxurious contemporary accommodation with stunning views overlooking the River Thames. The design comprises a fabulous hotel, secure executive London Heliport facilities and executive offices and lounges

Our concept provided von Essen with a unique design for this boutique-style luxury hotel to provide 70 stunning rooms over seven floors overlooking the River Thames. We also designed a luxury spa, a rooftop restaurant with 360° views over Battersea Reach and an executive international business suite to provide full business aviation facilities for the UK’s busiest heliport.

The creative design of the new heliport provides for full heliport security, VIP lounges, offices and meeting rooms, conference facilities and crew rest areas.

The hotel was completed and opened its doors to guests in 2010 as the Verta Hotel. It has since won a number of awards including making the finalists amongst the 2011 Sleep Event European Hotel of the Year Awards. Of particular note was the value added for the client by rationalising the design- saving space, improving net to gross area and optimising views.
