INTRODUCTION
Richard is an Urban Designer and Director at Kay Elliott with over 30 years of experience in the field of architecture and masterplanning. His area of specialist knowledge is destination masterplanning, with recent projects including the Stadium for Bath – a new 18000-seat stadium for Bath Rugby in the centre of the UNESCO World Heritage City; and several landmark projects in the UK, Denmark, China and the USA.
SKILLS & MEMBERSHIPS
Richard is highly regarded for his creative thinking and digital visualisation skills. He uses his driven curiosity to enhance a project's social, environmental and economic impact, from feasibility to planning stages and beyond.
He is the Practice lead on Digital Transformation and Responsible Buildings with project experience in Passivhaus, adaptive reuse and BREEAM Excellent. He is a panel member of Design West, a board member of Torbay Culture, and a visiting lecturer at Plymouth University.
